Undergraduate Summer Placement Scheme 2024
Monday 8 July – Friday 16 August
The scheme offers 6-week summer research placements to four selected students who are studying at a UK or Republic of Ireland university for their undergraduate bachelor degree and are in their penultimate year of study. The summer placements are suitable for those studying psychology, cognitive sciences, neuroscience or a related discipline, who are considering postgraduate study, and who do not have previous significant research experience.
Scheme details
Placement students will join a current research group and work in a shared office at the MRC CBU. Students will receive a stipend calculated using the National Living Wage of £11.44 per hour, which will be paid at the end of the placement, and have the opportunity to rent accommodation from Downing College in central Cambridge (cost will be deducted from final stipend).
This is a fantastic opportunity for interested and motivated students to:
- get hands on research experience
- acquire and develop a range of skills
- interact with fellow summer placement students, postgraduate students and research staff
