As a member of the Cognition, Emotion, and Mental Health Programme my research focuses on understanding the interplay between social status and mental health. I use evolutionarily grounded theories to explore the role of perceived social status, social decision-making and social risk-taking in the development and maintenance of mental health disorders, and how our brains process such information.
