Supervised by Dr Duncan Astle and Dr Edwin Dalmaijer I support the RED (Resilience in Education and Development) project in the 4D lab. I contribute to multiple aspects of the project, with my research activities ranging from neuroimaging (MRI and MEG) and behavioural data collection, through to data analysis and write up.
I completed both my undergraduate and masters degrees at the University of Reading, and prior to joining my current lab I was a Research Assistant to Dr MaryAnn Noonan at the University of Oxford. My previous work broadly explored suboptimal learning (specifically, reinforcement learning), so the RED project is my first experience with studying over-achievers! The project also bridges my professional and personal interests, as outside of work I invest time in supporting individuals experiencing socio-economic difficulty.
