Fueled by my passion for studying memory and understanding mental health disorders, my work at the Memory Control Laboratory as part of the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit focuses on studying the brain mechanisms which underlie the suppression of unwanted and intrusive memories in healthy individuals and those suffering from clinical conditions like anxiety and PTSD.

More specifically, I'm interested in understanding why how the brain generalizes fear memories and whether fear suppression and memory suppression share common neural pathways with a special focus on the nucleus reuniens.
