My research examines how cognitive processes shape our perception, experience, and outcomes of digital media use. I am particularly interested in individual differences and developmental trajectories in these processes and whether they pose risk or resilience factors for the relationship between digital media use and mental health. I use a combination of computational and longitudinal approaches to examine the mechanisms underlying the link between social media use and mental health.
