I have two main responsibilities at the CBU as the CamCAN cohort data manager and online testing support. 

The CamCAN project aims to understand how changes in the brain across the adult lifespan impact cognitive functions like memory and attention. I am responsible for programming and maintaining the MRI, MEG, and online cognitive tests for the CamCAN project, as well as organizing and analysing the data as it is collected. 

Recent years have seen a large number of researchers move their experiments onto online platforms. My second job role is providing online testing support, allowing researchers at the CBU to collect data online via numerous platforms (e.g. JATOS, Gorilla, Pavlovia, etc.). 

As well as these day-to-day roles, my personal research interests are in the electrophysiology of language. Previously I have worked with infants to see if cortical oscillations (i.e. brainwaves) align with the rhythmic properties present in the speech signal, and whether this phenomenon underpins language acquisition. At the CBU, I plan to use the electrophysiological data being collected in the CamCAN project to address similar questions in relation to the electrophysiology of language during aging.
