Huge congratulations to two of MRC CBU’s PhD students, Rebecca Williams and Natalia Zdorovtsova, who have both been shortlisted for the 2022 MRC Max Perutz Science Writing Award.
The award aims to encourage and recognise outstanding written communication by MRC PhD students. The competition challenges students to explain why their research matters in 1,100 words for a non-scientific audience.
Rebecca’s piece titled ‘Apathy research: why should we bother?’ and Natalia’s article titled ‘when categories fail’, are amongst ten shortlisted articles.
The winner will be announced at an awards ceremony in London on 20 October 2022, and the winning article will be published on 30 October in The Observer.
