Susan Gathercole, Unit Director, is pleased to announce that the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit has successfully transferred to the University of Cambridge as an MRC University Unit.
The transfer took place on 1 July 2017. The unit will still be known as the Medical Research Council Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit, but with the new acronym MRC CBU.
The MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit (MRC CBU) has been part of the Cambridge landscape for 70 years now, and has always had fruitful links with the University. The MRC CBU is delighted to have become fully integrated with the University, and with the Clinical School in particular.
We will both contribute to and benefit from the University’s exceptional strengths in basic research on cognition and the brain and, importantly, to the understanding and treatment of the many clinical disorders of mental health that we study.
