London’s Science Museum (http://www.sciencemuseum.org.uk) is this week holding a Zombie Festival, Zombielab – an event in which science and the ill tempered recently deceased finally clash. The CBU’s Tom Manly recently took part with the festival audience showing how the principles that allow inference on cognition from behaviour in people can equally be applied to this marginalized group. Other highlights of the festival include a series of weekday late sessions (http://www.sciencemuseum.org.uk/visitmuseum/events/events_for_adults/Lates.aspx) and a weekend of events including interactive games, zombie trials, pro-zombie campaigns, fancy dress zombie fashion shows etc.
Just to be clear, despite Tom Manly’s involvement, the Cognition and Brain Sciences recognizes that zombies are fictional.
