Alicja Podgorski is a PhD researcher at the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit, University of Cambridge, and a Gates Cambridge Scholar. Her research focuses on the assessment and treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in early childhood, with an emphasis on developmentally sensitive, trauma-focused cognitive-behavioural interventions. Her doctoral work builds on the NIHR-funded PYCES programme and examines CBT-3M (Memories, Meanings, and Management), a trauma-focused CBT approach for children aged 3–8 years, with particular interest in trauma memory processes and mechanisms of treatment response.
