Abstract:
Trauma-related thoughts and beliefs are reportedly related to levels of post traumatic psychopathology. Such potentially maladaptive cognitions were directly manipulated using Cognitive Bias Modification (CBM) techniques with an analogue trauma paradigm (viewing distressing films). Diary recordings indicated that distress arising from intrusions, but not their quantity, was successfully modified.
