Intelligence tests predict brain response to demanding task events

Abstract:
A functional imaging study relates general intelligence to brain systems involved in cognitive control. In prefrontal coretx and selceted regions elsewhere that are known to be activated during cognitive conflict, intelligence test score predicts the response to a challenging task.
