On Friday 21 June 2024, Lewis Owens (Queens’ 1996) will be taking on a sponsored walk in Cambridge, stopping at all 31 Colleges on route. Lewis will be starting his walk at Cambridge University Hospitals, setting of at 9am, and finishing at the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit (MRC CBU), University of Cambridge, by mid-afternoon.
Lewis is raising funds to support the MRC CBU and aims to raise around £5k. The funds will be put towards equipment/facilities, which will be used to help support the vitally important research carried out at the Unit.
Lewis said: “It is a privilege to raise funds for the Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit at Cambridge. I have seen firsthand their incredible work into so many different areas of brain and mind health. We will all know someone who has struggled or is currently struggling with a neurological or psychological disorder and the vital research done by MRC CBU helps not only to identity the causes but provides hope for their recovery and rehabilitation.”
The route Lewis will be taking and the Colleges he will be visiting can be found below.
