Congratulations to Dr Alex Woolgar, who has taken up the role of Unit Deputy Director at the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit (MRC CBU), working alongside Dr Bob Carlyon. Alex took over from Prof Rik Henson, who stepped down as Deputy Director in November 2023. Alex will also continue her Programme Leader role and running her research programme at the Unit.

Alex said “I am honoured and delighted to take on this role, and to work with our Director, researchers, and exceptional support team, to continue the outstanding work of the MRC CBU.”
