Abstract:
The interest in Mismatch Negativity (MMN) and its clinical and scientific applications has been steadily growing during the recent years. Following a series of successful meetings dedicated to the MMN as a tool for studying cerebral functions and dysfunctions, the 4th Conference on Mismatch Negativity was held in Cambridge, UK, on April 22-26, 2006. The meeting was organized by MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit, in particular by its EEG/MEG Laboratory. The programme covered the latest developments in the field including but not limited to: Cognitive processes/impairments in audition " Involuntary attention " Clinical applications " Neuropsychology " Plasticity and rehabilitation " Dyslexia and learning " Psychiatry " Multimodal neuroimaging " Auditory cortex organization The meeting included plenary lectures, oral symposia, panel discussions and posters.
