I am studying the neuronal dynamics of complex problem solving and computations underlying general intelligence in brains and machines. I am especially interested in rapid One-Shot learning and compositional problem solving to understand how we can flexibly construct attentional episodes to decompose problems into easier subparts and find generalisable solutions in changing environment. I investigate those mechanisms using electrophysiological / spike data, neural networks, and mathematical process models.
My work is supervised by John Duncan (Cambridge) and Matt Botvinick (Google DeepMind) and funded by a Gates Scholarship. Before I was a scholar of the German Academic Scholarship Foundation (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes).
