Abstract:
This Chapter discusses different approaches to assessment including psychometric, localisation, ecologically valid and cognitive theoretical approaches. It considers aspects of memory to be assessed in patients and recommends combining standardised and functional assessment procedures. The characteristics of these two types of measures are compared.
