Abstract:
This brief discussion paper considers the relationship between general intelligence and frontal lobe function. Based on behavioural, neuroimaging and single unit data, it is proposed that general intelligence reflects specificity or focus in a prefrontal task model. Implications are spelled out for both psychometric and neuropsychological studies.
