Abstract:
This short piece, included in a special issue of MRC News devoted to memory, summarises some of the recent work at the on semantic memory and its disorders. The main focus is on behavioural and neuroanatomical findings from patients with either semantic dementia or dementia of Alzheimer’s type, with some further description of functional neuroimaging (PET) results from normal volunteers performing a semantic task.
