Abstract:
We describe the natural history of the development of a compensatory system for severe memory impairment. The report has been compiled from notes kept over a 10-year period by (a) a young amnesic man who sustained a haemorrhage from a left posterior aneurysm, (b) his aunt and (c) his clinical psychologist.
