Abstract:
This chapter discusses the nature of memory problems following brain injury. Guidelines for improving encoding, storage and retrieval are provided. The chapter continues with a discussion of methods for (a) identifying problems for treatment, (b) selecting appropriate strategies for a memory impaired person, (c) teaching strategies, (d) designing a memory therapy programme, and (e) planning for generalisation.
