MRC National Trade Union Side
When you join the MRC, you are encouraged to join one of our five recognised Trade Unions. MRC Management and the National Trade Union Side (NTUS) work constructively across a whole range of matters so you can feel satisfied that your views will be represented.
MRC Management consults with the NTUS on all issues that affect the working relationship between our staff and the MRC. This consultation is underpinned by the National Joint Negotiating and Consultative Committee (NJNCC). The committee is made up of the NTUS representatives CEO, Management Board and HR executive. Monthly meetings have provided for regular discussions on wide ranging topics including pay, careers, HR policies and organisational change initiatives.
MRC run a Staff Survey “SpeakUp” on an annual or biannual basis which helps us to understand how you feel about working for us. Results are released on an MRC wide and local Unit level so the local Director and Senior Managers can take actions on issues raised.
We have a number of formal committees dedicated to influencing and advising on the day to day running of the unit. We encourage everyone to get involved to ensure a wide diversity within each committee.
