1st Cambridge Computational Psychiatry Workshop (CCPW2018)
13th March 2018, Lecture Theatre MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit, Cambridge
Department of Psychiatry is delighted to announce the 1st Cambridge Computational Psychiatry Workshop (CCPW2018) at the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit on 13th March 2018. The aim of this meeting is to facilitate the emerging science of Computational Psychiatry here at Cambridge. In a broad sense, computational psychiatry includes all computational approaches to mental disorders, and it has shown promising potentials to revolutionize research and clinical practice in psychiatry.
In this workshop, we will bring together theoretical, experimental and clinical scientists to present their work on three main areas surrounding computational psychiatry: 1) advanced computational methods such as machine learning to analysis clinical data including MRI and other neuroimaging data, 2) computational models of multiple levels of abstraction that describe mental illness, symptoms and their underlying neural substrates, 3) novel statistical approaches to model mental functions and dysfunctions.
