Abstract:
The Behavioural Assessment of the Dysexecutive Syndrome (BADS) is an ecologically valid test, which bridges laboratory based and observational measures to provide an assessment of non-routine everyday problems arising from impairments in executive functioning. There are six tests in the BADS which are specifically sensitive to those skills involved in problem solving, planning and organising behaviour over an extended period of time. The battery thus assesses capacities that are normally exercised in everyday living.
